The village is a beehive of activity getting ready for the upcoming season. Several stores including Central Sport are having significant refurbishments in the run-up to Christmas.
The new Downhill Only Club room in the former Eiger Hotel next to the railway station will be an excellent place to see old friends and meet new members.

Men's Downhill January 2011
The 81st International Lauberhorn races will begin in Wengen on Friday the 14th of January. This small village of 1,000 people swells with over 30,000 fans joining in the fun.
Training starts on Wednesday the 12th and the official opening ceremony starts at 5pm in Wengen village on Thursday the 13th. For more information about race times, tickets and what is happening that week visit http://www.lauberhorn.ch/en.
